The Preceyes Surgical System is a joystick-controlled telemanipulation robot for vitreoretinal microsurgery (membrane peeling, subretinal injection, vascular cannulation) with precision better than 20 µm and tremor-free control. It performed the world's first robotic surgery inside a human eye in 2018 (Oxford). CE-marked in Europe; New York Eye and Ear is collaborating with Preceyes/Zeiss to pursue FDA approval. Distributed in partnership with Carl Zeiss Meditec.
